Major task:

  • Conduct research in Genomics laboratory using molecular techniques and Next Generation Sequencing(NGS) tools applicable to whole genome sequencing (WGS), Metagenomics and even target amplicon sequencing of microbial genomes
  • Develop new sequencing applications or customize existing applications to meet specific project needs
  • QC of sequencing data from sequencing platforms both illumina and Nanopore data using basic bioinformatics pipelines and tools
  • Perform data analysis of microbial genomes dataset eg. Metagenomics and WGS with bioinformatics software and tools
  • Isolation of single-cells from varying specimens in the lab using Single-cell supported instruments and to carry out Single-Cell RNASeq NGS techniques.
