Accomplishments

  • WFP Gambia – In line with WFP’s HR strategy, I recorded a high rate of long term contracts at 81% in 2024 to identify skill needs and bridge the talent gap between long and short term contract modalities.
  • Organization realignment and Implementation: In line with the recommendations of the office restructuring plan I implemented the onboarding process within 11 months (November 2019 to October 2020) Out of 31 planned positions, 23 were filled representing 74% of target including positions for the newly established field office in Basse.
  • In 2020, I led the unit to being the 1st country office to launch the online well-being site for onboarding, including local local content for the Gambia country office. This affords new colleagues either locally recruited or international joining the office relevant information about their new duty station and tips on settling down and moving around.
  • Developed the Human Resources recruitment strategy for the office, approved and endorsed by the Country Director in 2020.
  • UNICEF Gambia- Recruited 21 positions out of a total of 24 planned positions and contracted 6 consultancies, attained 86% of target of the recruitment needs for a period of 5 years (20172021) were met in a record 11 months in 2018.
  • Guaranty Trust Bank Gambia Limited and Access Bank Gambia Limited: Established the Human Resource and Administrative units of both Banks in 2001 and 2006 respectively.
  • Successfully recruited and trained over 32 employees (professionals and non-professionals) In readiness to commence operations of Access Bank Gambia in 2006.
  • Presented credit write up for a facility totaling USD5million which was approved in September 2007.
